Defining the true artist

There are musicians who are more comfortable to remain anonymous. You know, happy to hide behind their guitars or Sidemen keyboards and be the stars of today or tomorrow. Then there are those who have grandiose aspirations of stardom, adoration and spotlight. And then there are those who have the desire to drive and the need to say something original art, to express themselves and communicate that expression to an audience, be it a small niche or wider demographic.
Those falling into the first category can make life, although quite modest, as a rule. Those falling in the second category often live in a bit of a dream world and, depending on their tenacity and 'smart' skills, usually end up disappointed because the focus is on the place of destination. The third category usually reaps the benefits of the second category winning all the success and limelight but as a result of focusing on his art instead of the shallow and light in the world of musicians. These are usually the most fascinating people too, because it generally have a bit of mystery about them, because in reality what they have most of the artists really want, sincere and dedicated talent!
But there are also that are in early stages of artistic development who are still learning their craft, and open to influence. It is possible that they will become great artists in the future, it is not possible. It will be a matter of choices and consequences, and the doors opened and opportunities to take advantage of – or not. Life certainly will take you places.
But for those who have aspirations of art and expression, then I firmly believe that should have qualities that others do not. As an artist, I think it should be noted from the herd, to be heard. It's so easy to make a record these days. They no longer need to have the luxury of a recording contract in order to be on a pedestal and say "I I am an artist – buy my album! "With studies in the 16th house costs the price had ten years ago and with software to do it all, who can generate albums Of the dozen if you put your mind to it. And many do.
However, just because you can, why? – Is my question. Just for fun? OK valid I guess. But is not it better to invest time and energy searching relentlessly for something unique and different? God knows that the record companies are releasing enough mediocrity per hour. Even artists who are now under the impression that they have something to offer. Maybe they have, but mostly I do not think (like the audience reaction and their CD sales, will attest!)
Maybe I'm being very unfair, but I think too many artists do not realize they have a responsibility to say something profoundly unique, especially if it expects some kind of career longevity. We live in a world where musicians spend their lives emulating their heroes, singers spend their lives emulating to Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin, Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra and so on. Guitarists spend their lives emulating Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Paige, Jeff Beck and Eddie Van Halen. Guitarists Jazz are proud emulators of Pat Metheny, John Scofield and Wes Montgomery. Cult saxophonists Charlie Parker, John Coltrane and Michael Brecker. And so on …
Before going I must say that emulating heroes is absolutely essential in their formative years as musicians. You just have to listen to the greats, past and present. You have to have a strong base and musical knowledge and you just can not go without listening. However, too many "artists" can not get through this stage. They need peer approval, they must know that other respected musicians around them recognize and applaud your skills. Often this has place unconsciously.
This 'peer approval' is a developmental stage that is important. Every musician goes through it at some point. It is quite natural, but I firmly believe that to be a great artist, has to go beyond that stage and look inward. I always compare singers wedding band, despite having an honorable and justified (and sometimes envious) career, they are all too often "the conduct of monkeys. They are often good vocalists but at the end of the day it was seeking approval and applause and not communicating or expressing anything artistic. They certainly know how to entertain but do not know how the plot? It's huge. Nothing remotely subtle about it as I'm concerned.
The true artists seek unique expression to communicate. They are more interested in sounding like their heroes. They have moved past that now constantly searching, developing and perfecting his own unique voice. You look at any of the true giants of yesterday and today. Yes, you can hear their references, but also have their own strong identity. At some point during their development something bigger than they took over. Chances are they knew it then and he used it and made an extra effort to really hone that uniqueness.
Finding that unique inner voice can not be so easy for some. I think it begins with the recognition of its technical flaws. Often the deficiencies in the final instance, end up becoming their artistic strengths. Realistically, if they could play the guitar technically perfect, at all speeds, meticulously so that every note that came out completely clean and audible, ultimately, it would be interesting for an audience? Yes, it could be very smart and impressive, but for how long could you listen to an album where every phrase seemed to have their teeth drilled!?
Wes Montgomery played with his thumb because not want to wake the neighbors, ultimately allowing him to become the largest jazz guitarist and most influential of all time. BB King has about three licks in his entire repertoire of blues. NO Does anyone know when they hear BB King? Thelonius Monk refused to conform to traditional piano techniques and ideas musical. He simply had to play music the way he heard in his head. He made so bold musical statement during the time that is now emulated throughout the world and revered by the greatest musicians living today.
Technical deficiencies may be the essence of his unique art. Now, if these deficiencies in the way of what you have to say musically then those weaknesses have to turn around so they do not restrict what you hear in your head.
Remember that true artist simply communicates from within. All other odd thoughts, influences and distractions need to fall by the wayside. At the time of a lamer or phrase that your hero played or sung (and made famous) ends up in your record – beware! You could be in trouble. Absolutely steal their heroes, but remember that true art is what you have to say no, what their heroes have said before and said that possibly better.
Push yourself to the max and the quest for quality really only in it. After all, that next great talent are all desperately waiting just might be you!

Some people think that and more power to them. Because I do not have and that is not the purpose of this item. I will say good luck in your search for that dream, if you are running down.
The objective here is to discuss 5 solutions working (or not working for that matter) musicians can use or apply to have additional income.
These are not get rich quick or easy money programs online. These are 5 solid realistic solutions to make extra money to supplement his true passion: music playback. Some of these may be considered and some sites not familiar with. The Internet has changed everything and always changing. There are always opportunities out there. Just be careful not to get involved in wrong or involved in too. The Internet can really be a tangled web, if you let them fool you.
One of the best things you can do is find a business mentor, someone who succeeds in the effort being carried out. Surrounding yourself with successful people will help you overcome the obstacles we all face in achieving a company. You also need a positive attitude and healthy self-confidence. In developing these, they feel inspired to do great things.
With that said here are 5 solutions:
Solution 1: Royalty Free Music Factory
Royalty Free Music Factory is a website that pays you, the musician, a commission on sales of its soundtracks. The founder of the site, Mike Rowntree, is a musician and sound engineer who came to realize that there is a huge international market for music tracks you hear on the radio, television, and Internet sites. The producers of commercials and programs on these media want to avoid paying royalties under way, which is how this niche developed market. To raise 15, 30, and 60 seconds MP3 tracks with the full version (counts as one track) and will be reviewed within 2 business days. Once accepted, they are listed on the site for sale. You get paid a commission of 35% on each item sold. Visit them at: http://www.royaltyfreemusicfactory.com/
Solution 2: The products delivered digitally
The products are delivered digitally over the Internet and music education is no exception. The greatest retail products is Clickbank. Products range from simple e-books, membership sites and full blown http://www.musicmasterpro.com/ with instruction video online. To start with little money, you will need a PDF writing program and a free Clickbank account. The most popular software is Adobe Acrobat PDF, but you can probably find a shareware program that will do what you need. PDF with accompanying MP3 files and not only can charge more, but will probably sell more. I bought Alex Sampson http://www.bassguitarsecrets.com/ and enjoyed what the parties I went through. Alex charges $ 49.95 for this product and I feel like that more than delivers.
Solution # 3: Become an affiliate.
With Clickbank your account, you can also become a subsidiary of other companies and make a commission on their sales. For example, MusicMasterPro pays 70% commission on membership sales. With your free Clickbank account will have what is called a "Hoplink" for the affiliate you are promoting. The hoplink is a combination of its unique Clickbank affiliate ID and the ID is promoting. Clickbank commissions paid directly to her.
Another affiliate website is huge Junction.http Commission: / / www.cj.com/ You can find complementary products to sell and receive a commission if the sale is made through your link.
Solution # 4: DVD Production & Sales
An old friend of mine (Tony, who happens to be the godfather of my daughter), makes money extra large to. He is a full-time drummer on Bourbon Street here in New Orleans and makes and sells the DVDs in working in the clubs This however, will to do a deal with the club owner and split the profits. Certainly do not want you taking money from the pockets of their customers, but if you make an agreement that both can benefit DVD sales.
Back in the day that would pay $ 50/hr sound studio, practice to perfection on one foot in the studio, then send the thing go to a place called Masters of disc or something for the CD. I guess people still do, but with all the technology out there you can do it yourself. As I said earlier, we are talking to make extra money – not a rock star!
Apart from the camera, you need a video editing software as http://www.pinnaclesys.com/ and a CD / DVD Label Maker. Instead of using the audio from the camera, Tony has something really small, really cheap recording device on your handheld using to record the band live. It's fast and easy and can get out of DVD in no time. Of course, it helps to have an outgoing singer and leader to push the product!
Solution # 5: The $ 9 Solution
Chad Rissener, cowboy Marketing has a solution of $ 9 to make money online and work at home business. Chad is a guitarist and singer of the band's North County. http://www.northcountyband.com/
