A day in Boston: suggestions for activities?

My girlfriend and I are going to our first "real" date next week Technically we have been dating for two years, but because it is not out of the closet, and I respect that we have never been on a real date. But because there is a very slim chance we'll see one of our knowledge, in Boston, has agreed to spend a day with me in Boston, and in fact, be affectionate in public (! big deal for us!) That being said, I am quite at a loss to know where to go and what to do spend the day. We're both into art, so we plan to go to the Museum of fine arts, but we can not pass the whole day, and we must find a place to eat. We would also like to know if there are places gay-friendly/otherwise, I have a date with a beautiful girl ruined by the ridiculous staff in a restaurant. We're students so we do not have a car or much money to spend … Thank you in advance! <3

Well if you're in search of food, my friends and I go to the fire and ice all time. It is at once a T stop, I think Arlington and if you go before 4's 9.99 for all you can eat buffet. We love it. Or go the hotel Fanuel where there are all kinds of shops and food. Or you can take a tour of the duck or Freedom Trail, which takes you around different historic sites of Boston.
