Dublin Impressions
Ireland is an island in all directions and is located between Europe and the U.S. is not only far geographically. Has been achieved reveal more American and more European in neighboring Britain. Dublin Airport is surprisingly little about the middle of a developed economy, which is the bridgehead to Europe and America is home to the largest company in the Old Continent – Ryanair.
Contrast in Dublin, however, is the best picture of the new Ireland. The contrast between the financial center of Europe 7-day and the city with low buildings of brick facades in the style of the eighteenth century, between the center of calm almost unreal to hiking areas and the huge, continuing for hours in traffic jams entry requirements of the city, between the carefree, casual kind of all the streets after a certain time and money in establishments that seek rates of pay day English. At the crossroads of global business Ireland itself is defined as the most globalized country in the world. But among the French and Australian wines, the Polish workers and Chinese, American SUV s, Burger King and plasma TVs find that romantic idea of the Green Island still thrive unmolested.
I arrived with the belief that Ireland's U2, dancing, whiskey, and bad weather. Since Bono apparently rarely held in the country, the Irish dancing is not popular rain activity in the pubs, and once I had the pleasure of discovering how much fun it is to open in Dublin. From my apartment "> Dublin apartment window I saw several large posters, invited to the exhibition William Yates. Although the passage on the street below them, think about the justification of the Royal Academy of Sweden, where the poet awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1926: "For his always inspired poetry, which represents high art form the spirit of an entire nation.
Actually how to display the spirit of the nation, for half a century has four Nobel Prize winners for Literature?
Mathematically speaking, this means there is one in a million Irish, which is a brilliant writer more or less like a clover accounts one in a million.
Perhaps this is precisely what makes the city of Dublin a little more special. In the days to go there, pass the two houses of Oscar Wilde, a pair of James Joyce (who seem to be endless), found sculpture exhibition dedicated to Bernard Shaw, the festival literary "Samuel Beckett and a poster for the show next to a local club Shini Okon. Add as monuments to Wellington – the hero defeated Napoleon after a few days in this city that almost come to believe in Irish, beer mug tirelessly to argue that all value comes from their island. For example, the porter.
And the most famous dark Irish beer has become its old factory in the world center for the fans. Factory "Guinness" is number One in the brochures "Top 10 places to visit in Dublin. Because of its size requires more time than you paid to the attraction of such. Once you know what is the dark beer, passing through "test laboratory" for a quick and leave a message to the world of a panel, we hope that the best gift. At the top is a bar with 360 degree views of Dublin – the city is revealed as a hand, since almost no tall buildings. has several short quotations from famous glass works of Irish writers, and it took me 10 minutes to Ina know that if you stand in the center of the bar (while waiting for a Guinness, for example), these terms acquire meaning: each mainly described in Dublin, which is visible only to cite. Very peculiar – like a walk with a beer in his hand.
Of course, given state have every reason to travel in the sampling sites. Since the weather in the island is wet, it is not difficult to understand why there is a place of pubs popular. In short, the true Irish pub, of course, represents many small place with not enough seats, with unlimited beer and whiskey, music and Sky Sports. In Dublin, for example, has more than 1000, but definitely worth a visit to the Temple Bar. This is called the central zone, composed almost entirely bars and pubs, willing to meet anytime. Besides the obvious advantages in a place that has more beer than visitors, Temple Bar is near the pedestrian shopping area of Dublin, and they also deserve to walk, although there are memories ruined. If your passion is shopping, and history, the location of the most famous university on the island – Trinity College, several cathedrals (one of which remains British military flags of the Crimean War) and the garden behind Parliament in which houses the National Gallery, National Museum and the Museum of Natural History. In fact, the latter is an old building with an impressive collection of animals inside. Hanging from the ceiling of a huge whale skeleton in the giraffe and rhino small insects in Africa, the zoo of Irish heritage, he traveled to United Kingdom costs worldwide, is worth watching. In the same corner in which he acknowledged and video of U2, is the birthplace of Oscar Wilde. Plaque is surprisingly modest, but against it in the garden with a beautiful statue of Wilde with his typical expression lightly. Since this is probably the only time you can hold a memory of one of the writers world's most famous, a pleasure.
